LIPOSUCTION DUBAI | 4 FEBRUARY 2025

Often called lipoplasty or lipo, liposuction is a body sculpting technique used to eliminate localised fat deposits that don’t respond to diet and exercise.

Body parts that liposuction can treat include the abdomen, hips, love handles, upper arms, thighs, neck, chin, calves, and ankles. A stomach tuck is one of the common treatments used in conjunction with liposuction surgery to create a more streamlined appearance.

The greatest choice for those who struggle with areas of fat that are difficult to lose with diet and exercise is liposuction surgery.

Liposuction might not be the best choice for you if you are 20 pounds overweight, plan to reduce a significant amount of weight, or expect to gain weight (from pregnancy).

During the liposuction procedure, a long cannula, or thin tube, is inserted through tiny skin incisions to remove excess fat. Once the fat has been dislodged, the cannula uses a syringe vacuum attached to the tube to suction it out of your body. Because fewer and smaller entrance places are needed, the technique yields results that are more seamless and organic.

Despite the extended healing period following liposuction, most patients are able to return to work after two weeks and resume their normal activities by four to six weeks. In order to help reduce swelling and drive your skin into the new shapes of your body, your treatment regions may be wrapped with bandages or a compression garment after surgery.

Over the course of the first 48 hours of your recovery, you may experience varying degrees of swelling and bruises. You may have residual swelling for up to four months, even though the swelling normally goes away in four to six weeks and the bruises usually start to go away in seven to ten days.

Although the consequences of liposuction surgery are permanent because your fat cells have been destroyed, it may take four to six months to fully manifest the procedure’s effects. However, your new form and characteristics may be affected if you continue to eat poorly, gain weight, or become pregnant.

You must maintain a stable weight and adopt healthy habits if you want to maintain your results. If you continue to eat unhealthy meals, you may eventually accumulate fat in other places of your body, which could affect your new shapes.
